Charity Bike Ride India

India is simply magical... prepare to fall in love with this enchanting country
steeped in culture and history. With its incredible diversity you will be
guaranteed to have an experience of a lifetime while you cycle through some of
the country's most remote regions, its farmland and forests. Plus the beautiful
Taj Mahal. Amazing!
For those of you in search of the charity cycle challenge of a lifetime, India
won't fail to leave an indelible mark on you and will provide you with memories
that will last forever.
The following gives you a brief taste of the bike ride ahead but for more
detailed information please do not hesitate to contact one of the Overseas Team

Day 1
Depart for Delhi.
Day 2
Delhi Agra
Arrival in Delhi transfer to Agra. Time to recover from the long journey and to
prepare for the challenge ahead.
Day 3
Agra
Opportunity to visit the breathtaking Taj Mahal, make sure all the cameras are
charged!
Day 4
Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Bashawar
The challenge begins with a transfer to Khanua, the start of our journey
through the colourful Rajasthan countryside. Overnight camp near the village of
Bashawar.
Day 5
Bashawar Bhandarej
A great day of cycling today through beautiful Rajasthan along flat roads with
hills either side. We reach Bhandarej village where we spend the night at the
atmospheric Bhadrawadi Palace.
Day 6
Bhandarej Tahela Camp
Cycling to the Abhenrai ancient temple which is around 700 years old.
Surroundings are simply stunning - green valleys with lush vegetation, ancient
forts on the hill tops. The nights camp is on the edge of the Seriska Tiger
Park!
Day 7
Tahela Camp - Doela
Stop to look at the ruins of an ancient city, reaching it by cycling on the
edge of the Seriska. Arrive at the spectacular camp site in the sand dunes next
to the village of Doela with two ancient forts on the background hills.
Day 8
Doela Camp Lal Mahal - Jaipur
Today is the last day of the adventure, villages remain very authentic this
morning and we cycle past a beautiful lake home to some crocodiles! We finish
the amazing challenge at Lal Mahal transferring back to Jaipur. Overnight in
Jaipur.
Day 9
Jaipur
Day in and around Jaipur. Overnight in Jaipur. Gala celebratory Dinner
Day 10
Delhi
Depart for Delhi Airport for onward flight to London.

Is the trip for me?
Absolutely! The majority of people on the India Cycle won't have done anything
link this before so you will all be in the same boat! Most participants will be
on the trip on their own although some may come along with friends or family.
You won't ever regret choosing to go on this challenge - and when else will you
have the opportunity to make so many new friends in such a short space of
time!!
How fit do I need to be?
You don't need to be a fitness fanatic to do this cycle ride. The majority of
people who are taking part will be just like you and will not necessarily have
done anything like this before. However to get maximum enjoyment from this
challenge training is vital and we will provide you with a detailed training
plan which we strongly recommend you stick to. We will also be on hand every
step of the way to provide training advice.
How much do I have to raise?
3,400
Will I be able to raise the sponsorship level?
YES! Once you have started you will find that raising the minimum sponsorship
is easy and most importantly fun! We will provide you with a breakdown of
examples of how to raise the sponsorship money in an enjoyable way and we will
of course be available every day to help you with more ideas! You are doing
something quite simply amazing so make sure you tell everyone you know, and
before you know it you will be racing towards your fundraising target!

Can I extend my trip?
Yes! For a nominal administration fee your flight can be extended (subject to
availability) which will give you the opportunity to explore more of this
fantastic country in your own time
Will you help me?
YES! One of our highly experienced trip co-ordinators will be on hand to help
you throughout the months leading up to the event. You will be sent a full
confirmation pack shortly after you register which will give you all the
information you need but we are always here to make the event as enjoyable and
hassle free as possible! And there will even be the opportunity to meet your
fellow participants at a special gathering before the event!
What is the food like?
Traditional Indian cuisine, which usually consists of delicious rice and
curried dishes.
What do I need to bring?
No specialist kit is required although you will need to bring your own cycle
helmet, a sleeping bag and a gel saddle might be useful!
What will happen to my luggage during cycling days?
Your luggage will be transported for you by one of our support vehicles. You
will just need to carry a bum bag or small daypack for any essentials like a
camera and sun tan lotion.
How many people can take part?
The average group size on our overseas challenges is about 20 people although
this does vary considerably depending on the trip.
What type of accommodation will I be staying in?
We stay in tents throughout the trip and hotel either side - you may be
required to share with other people.
What's included in the cost?
Flights, all meals on cycling days, internal travel, accommodation, bikes,
water and refreshments on cycling days, mechanics, guides, a doctor and medical
support
Is there an age restriction?
You will need to be over 18 but there is no upper age limit. If you are over 65
will just need to get a medical form signed by your doctor
What about insurance?
You must have travel insurance cover in order to participate in this challenge.
You can either arrange this yourself (as long as your insurance company is
aware of the nature of what you are doing and that it is a charity event) or we
can help you arrange this.
