Hi, I too am on the China Trek, but have just had a whirlwind four weeks. A 50th birthday Nile cruise, and a trip to Ibiza from which I returned last night with my 15 year old son (my 21 year old daughter is out there for 4 weeks).   I now need to start training in earnest. I did walk to the top of Helvellyn a few weeks ago, but because of my jaunts abroad have not done as much as I should for the past few weeks. I have tried my best to walk for as long as possible each day (sometimes up to four hours)- but because of the heat in both places it's not been possible to do anything more strenuous.

Where are you based.   I am doing the trip on my own, and am excited too. I can't make the meeting this weekend. I live in Preston, Lancs, and I too would love to hear from anyone else on the trip.

Can't believe it is only 9 weeks away!!

Anyone else had problems raising the money? People don't want to sponsor because money goes towards the trip and see it as them paying for me to go on holiday! Anyone else come up against this? How have you dealt with it? Any last minute fundraising tips?

try a bag pack at ur local supermarket, Ive done 4 at my local Iceland( which is only a small town/village and Ive have raised ova £1000!

Coffee mornings, raffles, quiz nites maybe! try a street collection! Grab a few willing friends and wash cars or ask your local gym if u can do a sponsered walk on treadmill!

A lot of the time Ive not mention do the trek on the wall, but have jst mentioned, where the money is going?

Explain to them that only £1325 is for the actual trip and ur charity gets the other £1325!

Hope this helps!
